How to Transition to Pet's Kitchen
Show guide1
Days 1–3: Start at 25%
Introduce Pet's Kitchen at 25% of the total meal and keep 75% of your pet's current food. Monitor for any digestive changes such as loose stools or bloating, which are normal during a diet change.
2
Days 4–6: Increase to 50%
Move to a half-and-half split. By this point most pets begin to show enthusiasm for their meals. Continue to monitor stools and overall energy levels.
3
Days 7–9: Increase to 75%
Three-quarters of the meal is now Pet's Kitchen. The digestive system should be well adjusted by this stage. Many pets experience improved coat condition and energy around this point.
4
Day 10+: Full transition
Your pet is now fully transitioned. Refer to the recommended daily amounts above, and adjust portions slightly if your pet gains or loses weight over the following weeks. A healthy transition is gradual, and some pets with sensitive stomachs may need a slower approach over 2 to 3 weeks.
5
Monitor and adjust
Check your pet's weight and body condition every 2 to 4 weeks. If your pet is gaining too much weight, reduce portions by 5–10%. If losing weight, increase by the same amount. The goal is to maintain a body condition score of 3 out of 5.
